The following conversation between a believer and God is not meant to
represent a specific theology or theological truth. It represents one
believer's struggle and the response that believer represents as God's
truth for that believer and that believer alone.
I
love you, Lord.
I
love you back, my son.
Why
did you make things as they are?
When
I first made everything, everything was perfect. There was no separation
between the natural and supernatural. All living things and I existed in
the same place, the same time, and the same space. All living things and
I existed together in perfect harmony. However, I had made the decision
before everything was made to allow all things to sing the praises of
creation and the Creator. I made the decision to let living things live
in freedom. That decision was my most painful moment next to seeing my
only child die on the cross. When I decided to allow all things and all
creatures to live in freedom I could see, feel, hear, and experience
every moment of suffering that would ever follow. I could see, feel,
hear, and experience your suffering. I could see, feel, hear, and
experience the suffering of all people individually, including my Son. I
could see, feel, hear, and experience every moment of fear, anxiety,
doubt, insecurity, remorse, grief, temptation, anger, rage, and every
moment of human experience. I could have decided to shield you. I could
have decided to put you into a protective shell or cage to protect you.
However, if I had put you in a protective cage your protective cage
would have been a prison. I did not create you to live in a cage, even a
cage that would have kept suffering away. I created you to be free to
choose. I created you to be able to choose between right and wrong, good
and evil. I created you to be able to praise me or curse me. I created
you knowing you will hurt and suffer. However, it is better for you to
hurt and suffer in freedom than to never hurt or never suffer while
sitting in a cage. I could have made you totally controllable by me, but
being totally controllable by me is still like living in a cage because
you would have no freedom of thought or freedom of movement. I knew you
would live in ignorance and make mistakes. I knew you would fall down
and bleed from the fall. However, it is better to live in ignorance and
make mistakes than it is to have all the wisdom in the world and never
ask, never inquire, never wonder, never speculate, and never search for
answers.
Why
dont you fix everything in the world?
Read
what I just told you. I dont fix everything in the world today for
the same reasons I did not put you into a cage. Look at it this way. It
is better to cry and grieve over the way things are now than it is to
sit in total numbness because there is nothing to grieve over because
you have been totally sheltered from all that causes grief. If you had
been totally sheltered from all that causes grief, you would not be able
to experience love. If you had been totally sheltered from all that
causes grief, you would not be able to experience or believe in me. You
would be like a rock or some inanimate object if you could not
experience grief, anger, fear, pain, or love.
Dont
take this the wrong way, but reality and the way you made it really,
really stinks.
Yes,
I agree to some extent. From where you are now, from what you know now,
from what you see now, feel now, and experience now, reality does
really, really stink. However, you do not see all there is to see. You
do not really see me. You do not really know me. You do not see Heaven.
You do not see my angels. You do not really and truly know my Son, Jesus
Christ as He can be fully known. As much as life stinks, there is a part
of life that you too often dismiss and that part of life is faith. When
I made you and all others I gave you to the capacity to believe and see
in what you cannot see. I gave you the capacity to see beyond what
really, really stinks. Of all the qualities I gave you, the quality of
believing and having faith was the gem. Without my giving you faith, you
would not be able to possess hope. Without hope, life as you think of it
is essentially over. Having faith is your highest human achievement.
Faith is the way you and I connect to each other. Faith is the way you
win out over all the stinking stuff that happens in your life. Faith is
the way you can experience my love for you.
There
are hundreds, perhaps more, of human religions. Nearly all of these
various faiths believe they are right and every other faith is wrong.
Even in Christianity, we have perhaps thousands or more of sub-faiths,
sub-religious beliefs, and interpretations of what is written in the
Holy Bible. Who is right?
You
will not like this answer. The answer is that every person, every faith,
every believer, every religion, every interpretation, every theology,
every person that holds any kind of religious belief is wrong on many
levels. The straight answer is that no one is right all the time. No one
is right all the time because no one can see me or know all there is to
know about me. Every human being is separated from me. It is because
every human being is separated from me that all people on some level are
wrong. Of course, they do not mean to be wrong. They do not want to be
wrong. It makes people feel powerful to believe they are right and
everyone else is wrong. It does not make people feel powerful to believe
their knowledge and wisdom about me is somehow incomplete or faulty. The
people who are the most right are those who search for me all the time.
The people who are most right are those who seek, ask, and knock to find
my truth, wisdom, and above all, my love, all the time. People come
close to me when they are humble seekers. The people who are farthest
away from me are the ego-filled and prideful ones who think they have
all the answers.
When
will everything be made perfect again, like it was in the beginning?
Everything
will be made perfect again when you begin to live in Heaven or when I
make everything perfect upon the earth.
If
you make everything perfect again, wont we all be in a cage and not
have any protection because we are protected?
No,
you will always have choices. However, when everything is made perfect
again, you will be fully aware. You will be fully aware because you have
lived in the imperfect. You will remember what living in the imperfect
was like, at least to some extent, and you will be able to freely choose
to live in the outer darkness or in my light. Before we break off our
conversation for this time, I want you to know I love you. I want you to
know I hear your prayers every day. I want you to know I am with you
through all your struggles. As difficult as it sometimes is for you,
have faith. I know you are emotionally suffocating. I know you are often
gasping for breathe. However, you must know all of your work, all of
your struggle, all of your pain to be devout and righteous has a
beautiful enda beautiful end in humanity and a beautiful in Heaven.
Thank
you, Lord. I am blessed by you and I love you.
I
love you back, my son.
