About
a better place just for you:
Hebrews 11:16 Instead, they were longing
for a better country--a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called
their God, for he has prepared a city for them. (NIV)
There
are times when many of us long for a better place. We long for a place without
suffering, pain, and heartache. When we long for a godly place, a place where
God reigns, then God will surely bless us and bring us home. When we seek a home
with God, then God will give us a heavenly home with Him in love. If we tell the
truth, if we no longer pretend things are really great when things are not
really great, we can admit we feel out of place here on earth. In many of our
lives, we feel disjointed, uneasy, and full of discontent. We can feel full of
torment and turmoil. However, we can be comforted in knowing we have a better
place waiting for us. Each of us has a city on a hill bathed in eternal Light
and love. We have a heavenly home where we will work and never grow weary. We
have a heavenly home where we will work and never grow tired. We have a heavenly
home where we will not have to reap or sow. We have a heavenly home built for us
with hands of our living God. No matter what you must endure on the earth today
or tomorrow, sometime soon the pain-filled bonds of earth will be cut loose and
you will soar to Heaven carried on angel's wings. You will sail to your perfect
city built by God just for you.
