A Daily Devotional About an end to our war with
God: Romans 5:1 Therefore, since
we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in
which we now stand. (NIV) The darkness of satanic evil pushes us and goads us into acting like fools before God. The darkness of satanic evil attacks us from every side. The darkness of satanic evil tries to pull us away from God. The darkness of satanic evil puts our heart and soul at war with God. We do not usually think of our life as being at war with God. However, if we look at our life, if we look at our pain, our struggle, our worry, our boredom, our fear, and all the garbage we have to face, we must admit something is not right. When we admit something is not right in our life, when we admit we have no peace, we must then admit we are at war because peace is lacking. If we will be honest about our life, we will finally admit we are in a spiritual war with God. We must admit we are at war with God because we want to go our own way rather than His way. What is important is the daily minute by minute outcome of our inner spiritual war. If we are willing to choose to be on Christ's side in our spiritual war, Christ has already determined the outcome of the spiritual war within us. The outcome of our inner spiritual war has been decided if we decide to be by Christ's side as we kneel at the foot of His cross. When we come to Christ and accept all of His love, we find peace everlasting. We find in Christ a peace everlasting, because we chose Him. We find His peace, because we are willing to bear His cross. |
