A Daily Devotional About being a part of God’s family… John 17:11 Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name--the name you gave me--so that they may be one as we are one. (NIV) You are part of a very large family. Millions of people, all over the world, at this very minute are your brothers and sisters. Your father is alive and well. He lives in Heaven and has prepared a place for you to go when He is ready for you to join Him. Your family is so large you could not possibly know all the names of your brothers and sisters. Like any other family, some of your brothers and sisters fight and disagree with each other. Some of your brothers and sisters are sort of "far out" and are "different". Some of your brothers and sisters, you do not understand. You have brothers and sisters in nearly every country on earth. Your family members belong to every race. Even though all the family members do not always get along, if things got really difficult and you needed protection they would protect you. Many of your brothers and sisters would be willing to die for you if need be. When you hit a difficult spot in life, your family members would pray for you if they knew you needed prayer. You and your family are never alone no matter what the circumstance. Most important of all, your Father In Heaven loves you and all of the rest of your family. |
