being aware of Satan's schemes: 2 Corinthians 2:11 in order that Satan
might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. (NIV) Do not be ignorant about evil. Do not be ignorant about sin, what sin does, how sin works, and the result of sin. To defeat the enemy you must know the enemy. To know how to build a great defense you must know the offense of the adversary. To build a great offense you must know the defense of the adversary. No, we do not want to look upon sin. We want to look upon God and Him only. However, this does not mean we must be blind to the schemes and ways of Satan. Satan is full of trickery. Satan does not play fair. Satan lies, cheats, steals, and murders people every second. Every human being is a victim of Satan until we decide we want to be winners and accept Christ as our savior. In this battle in which all of us are engaged, we must know the schemes of the adversary so we can come against Satan and win for Christ. |
