A Daily Devotional About being faithful and faithless� 1 Corinthians 4:2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. (NIV) Sometimes looking at the opposite side of our relationship with God and with others can help us in our walk of faith. Obviously, to be faithless is the opposite side of being faithful. When people are faithless, they were not honest about keeping their word or keeping an oath once taken. When people are faithless, their intent to be loyal can be blown away in a mere wisp of the wind. When people are faithless they are unreliable and cannot be depended upon. When a person cannot keep to principles and purposes, even when they are assigned a task, they may not keep to the task when they are faithless. People who are faithful are people who are believers, for they have someone or something in whom or in which they believe. Believers have an inner set of constructs upon which to grasp. The faithful person has an inner set of constructs upon which to grasp and a conscience or yardstick to measure the righteousness or unrighteousness of an act. Chaos does not consume a faithful person. When a person is faithful they are incapable of treacherous acts betraying anyone's trust. Even the smallest seed of faith, even the tiniest of the tiniest amount of faith, turns the faithless into the faithful. |
