Filled with what? How is filling accomplished? Hunger and thirsting for right living? Who does this anymore? The reverse of thirsting for right living and right doing is seen in those who do not care about doing the right thing, who live on the wrong side of morality, and who are empty. The opposite of this verse gives the truth. To not want to do what is right is the road to an empty life. Not hungering to do what is right is the road to jail or prison, to addiction, to dependency, to every kind of darkness. To hunger and thirst for right living fills you with light and love..His love. To hunger and thirst, both, implies a state of need, a basic need, over which you would die if you had to do without.
