A Daily Devotional About being young again: 2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not
lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being
renewed day by day. (NIV) When you are young, your
body is in a state of growth and maturation. In your late twenties to early
thirties, your body begins to faintly show the signs of aging. If we are
consumed by being forever young in our body, we live in a sad state. No one
stays young in their body as the years roll by. However, although we may get old
in our body, inwardly, in our inner life and in our thinking, we can find
eternal youth. The challenge of a lifetime is not to be young in spirit when you
are young. The challenge of a lifetime is to stay young in spirit as you get
older. A life full of hope, enthusiasm, and forever looking forward is possible
for every person at any age. The one overriding consequence of Christ's
resurrection was His message to us. His message to us is we have an eternal
life, an eternal hope, and an eternal road to travel. In Christ, there is no end
to life. In Christ, there is only a great new beginning, even as we near the end
of this life on earth. |
