A Daily Devotional About the calling upon our hearts: Ephesians 4:1 As a prisoner for the Lord,
then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be
completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (NIV) Where would you be without
Christ in your life? People who do not have Him are left to wander around from
place to place in their life as if they are lostbecause they are lost! With
Christ, you are never lost. With Christ, you may stumble and fall or you may
lose your way for a brief time. However, with Christ, you will always know the
way. When you are lost, He will help you find your way home. In your daily
struggles, your human ego and pride are fed by the darkness of the world.
However, between you and the world stands Christ. His nail scarred hands attest
to what is truly important in your life. With Christ, you always have a genuine
purpose for living. You have an eternal purpose to do His humble work. With
Christ, your angry and hurting heart, still stinging from injustice, is eased.
Your hurting heart is eased as you find His peace as Christ empowers you to
forgive. With Christ, your weakened heart is made strong as you listen to Him
speak your name. |
