A Daily Devotional About certainty beyond hope: Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is
being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (NIV) We have
hope. Our hope ranges from being a little wisp of nothing to being so real we
can nearly see our hope realized with our physical eyes. For those of us who
live for Christ, we have a greater hope in life. Over time, our greater hope is
transformed from only a hope into an absolute certainty. In our certainty, we
are certain God loves us and looks out for us. We are certain Christ died for
us. In our certainty, we are not "a little" sure. We are not
"almost" sure. We are not "pretty" sure. We are not
"sort of" sure. We are absolutely, positively sure. In our certainty,
we are so certain Christ died for us and He lives within our heart, we no longer
question or doubt. We do not just hope. We are certain. Our certainty burns
within us. Our certainty illumines our life so darkness does not live within us.
We praise God for His love and mercy upon which our certainty is based. We do
not question. We do not doubt. We are so certain we know. |
