A Christmas Daily Devotional About bad times at Christmas: Matthew 2:4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. (KJV) To portray Christmas as only a time of sweetness and joy is not realistic. The world comes crashing into our life during good times or bad times. Christmas is often one of the most difficult times of our life when we are under financial stress or emotional trauma. However, in the bad times of our life, when we have no money or worse, we must try to remember Christmas is about new birth, new life, new hope, and new times just over the horizon. Present dreadful realities will cease to exist in heaven. Jesus was born to give us a chance to live in heaven with Him. Our real place is not a place on earth. Our real place is our home in heaven. The greatest celebration of our life will not be a celebration on Christmas day here on earth. Our greatest celebration will be the day we see Jesus face to face in heaven above. |
