A Christmas Daily Devotional About when God spoke to us 2 Samuel 23:2 "The Spirit of the LORD spoke through me; his word was on my tongue. 3 The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me: `When one rules over men in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God, 4 he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings the grass from the earth.' God spoke to us upon the occasion of Christ's birth. Bringing His only Son into the world was a message sent by God. God sent His message telling us how much He loves us. God does not often speak in a particular human language. God speaks in a language of His love and grace. In your life in this present hour, what is God saying? On Christmas morning and on all the mornings of the days to come, what will God be saying to you? When God speaks to you, especially when God speaks by bringing you events and people, will you be listening? Is your heart open to God's language of love and grace? The glory of Christ's birth is the glory of God's love. Not only must we keep our heart tuned to God's glory, we must continually give away His glory to others. |
