When you think about Christ in the manger, you can see the overwhelming power of love made real upon the earth on the first Christmas. At any time of your life, when you need a resource, when you need a power, when you need an overwhelming presence in your life�God is the resource, power, and overwhelming presence you need. Jesus came to earth so we would know how much God loves us. Many people are afraid of God. Many people are afraid God will kill them because of who they are and what they have done. Jesus came to earth to tell us God loves us and wants us to live forever in heaven. Certainly, God wants us to live amoral, upright life. God has given us grace, love, and forgiveness. His wonderful gifts of grace, love, and forgiveness ought to make all of us want to live more godly and devout lives. Of all the gifts God could give us to help us live our life on earth, His grace, love, and forgiveness are some of the most important and powerful. Of all the gifts you give this year, try your utmost to give the gifts of God's grace, love, and forgiveness. |
