A Christmas Daily Devotional About receiving the Christ child in your heart� To fully receive the Christ child, in God's beautiful irony, we must be God's child. God the Father brought Christ to earth in the form of a baby. In this Christmas season, our hearts are troubled over many things. Christmastime should be a time of no trouble and no worries. However, the circumstances of the world invade our life. Our pain, heartbreak, and troubles do not go away on Christmas or any other day. However, the power of God, the same power bringing Christ to earth, surrounds us and uplifts us, even when we are not aware. The more of a child of God we become, the more we can find solace amidst the troubles of our life and world. When we open our heart, life, and soul up to the presence of God, He then comes into our life. When we open our heart, life, and soul up like a gift on Christmas morning, we find God's love for us. Upon opening our gift, we find God loves us no matter who we are, where we have been or what we have done. The great gift of God's love and presence in our life changes us, renews us, and makes us whole persons, even when the darkness of the world wants to break us apart. To others, we are to give the gifts of God by giving love, encouragement, hope, and assurance. When we truly give away God's spirit of love every moment we truly receive His spirit of love in return. |
