A Christmas Daily Devotional About
sadness and beauty In the life of Christ, we see beautiful moments from our human perspectives. The beautiful moments of His birth were likely not so beautiful to Mary and Joseph. They had no shelter at the inn. The greatest event in human history, the birth of our Savior, had to take place in a cave with the stench of animals and manure. At the end of Christ's life, what should have been a time of victory on earth turned to sadness and grief for Christ's family and followers when Christ was tortured and crucified. The most beautiful human being ever born came to the earth and lived in our darkness. Christ came to earth and lived in our darkness to give us eternal life and the light of His presence forever. Christ was the most powerful human being who ever lived or whoever will live. Yet, He came as a helpless babe and was later crucified because He surrendered His power. |
