A Christmas Daily Devotional About a season to rejoice
Isaiah 65:19
And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping
shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. (KJV) Because Jesus came to earth, we can rejoice. We can rejoice during the Christmas season because Christ was born and He will return to us again. When we think about His birth we are lifted up and our heart and soul is bathed in His glory and grace. When we think about His birth our heart is lifted up and we want to celebrate. In the baby Jesus, we see our personal hope for a great time ahead. In the baby Jesus, we see an end to our sorrows and the beginning of bright new days without end. We celebrate His birth because His birth brings to us a hope to drive us forward in spite of our many trials. In the glory of His manger, all our pain is gone. In the glory of His manger, all our trials disappear. In the glory of His manger, all things are made new. In the glory of His manger, our tears of sadness are dried up and we leap with joy because He loves us so. Beside Him at His manger we do not weep. Beside Him at His manger we do not cry. Beside Him at His manger we do not hunger. Beside Him at His manger, we know goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life. |
