holding the joy of Christmas: Luke 1:14 He will
be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, (NIV) All of us have a multitude of reasons why we may never feel the joy of Christmas. However, we have to let our reasons for joylessness go. We have to let all those killers of our joy go the way of all darkness when the light of our Lord begins to shine in our heart. Our present trials and issues may weigh us down to the point of crushing us. However, there is a power much greater than all of our trials. The power of the joy of Christmas is an invincible power. The power of the joy of Christmas cannot be put down, lessened, snuffed out, or erased. The power of the joy of Christmas can fuel you onward forever. The gifts, trappings, and trimmings of Christmas may never be what you might want or expect. However, the joy of kneeling down next to Him in the manger, the joy of seeing His little hands and feet, the joy of holding Him next to your heart�is eternal and is His gift to you. |
