A Daily Devotional About confession… 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (NIV) The great wall or the great separator of God and human beings is our sin. Our basic lack of honesty before God keeps Him far away. If each person would just be honest before God and admit their faults, their fallacies, their shortcomings, and sins the wall between God and themselves would be broken. Satan’s power tries to convince everyone they do not have a wall between them and God. Satan’s power tries to convince everyone our sin is normal, is to be expected, and nothing needs to be done about sin except ignore it. Satan continues to convince millions not only is sin to be ignored sin is fun and permissible. When we turn on the Light of Truth the evidence of sin becomes clear. When we confess our sins the Light of Love shines in the darkness and our redemption is not far off. |
