A Daily Devotional About counting the cost: Luke 14:28 "Suppose one of you wants
to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he
has enough money to complete it? 29For if he lays the foundation and is not able
to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, 30saying, `This fellow
began to build and was not able to finish.' (NIV) We must be willing to count the cost of our faith. Knowing the cost, we must be willing to pay any price, even life itself, to remain a humble child of our Savior. In counting the cost, recall how all the seconds of your life are supported by the power of God. To make your life blossom, Christ came to earth and gave His life so your life can extend into the eternal beauty of Heaven. When you think you are alone in this life, Christ is with you. Christ is with you even when you are unaware. In counting the cost, remember the guiding hand of Christ is upon you each second. He will guide you if you turn your will towards Him. You maintain your faith through trust in Christ. Each day make an investment of trust in Him because He invested His whole life on the Cross for you. |
