About feeling different from the rest of the world…

Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the Lord, 'because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.' (NIV)

All of us are different from each other. However, some of us can feel like outcasts. We can feel like a person the whole world wants to shun. If you feel like a person the whole world wants to shun then you are in good company with other Christians. The whole world does not approve of Christ. The whole world wants to go its own way, not Christ's way. As followers of Christ, we should want to go His way and not the way of the world. Christians are different in the same sense people feel they are different from the rest of the world. As a believer and follower of Christ, you are part of a group of people who belong to God and for whom Christ holds a special place in His heart. Many of us who are Christians feel like outcasts in the world because we have never "fit in" with the world. However, in Christ, we always fit in. In Christ, we are always accepted and loved for the real person God made us to be.
