A Daily Devotional About finding courage from our faith in God…Acts 27:22 But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. 23 Last night an angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve stood beside me 24and said, `Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.'25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. (NIV) Paul found speaking words of encouragement to His his shipmates to be easier because Paul had seen an angel. Most of you do not see angels when you are afraid but you do have the words and the experience of Paul from which to draw your courage. Your faith in God can give you the power to act in spite of your fear. The power of God can push you forward when you want to turn and run away. The power of God in you tells you to act in spite of being afraid. |
