A Daily Devotional About the flowering beauty of God… Psalm 149:4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. (KJV) In a world full of empty and ugly darkness, we need to search for God's light full of truth, love, and beauty. When we believe in God, when we believe in the goodness and beauty of God, then we can find His flowering beauty within us. What is remarkable, and amazing, and astounding, is His ability to unfold His beauty within us from what we think is nothing. How God could create all that exists from nothing is beyond our understanding. How God creates His beauty within us from what we think is nothing is also beyond our understanding. However, His beauty is real, live, and touchable by our heart and mind. Most importantly, whether we understand the unfolding flower of His beauty or not, the beauty of God continually blossoms within us. To have and hold His flowering beauty within us in a world gone horribly mad and ugly requires we focus our thoughts and the stirrings of our heart upon Him. When we focus our thoughts and the stirrings of our heart upon Him, He then makes His flowering beauty appear to us by giving us an experience with Him. We experience His beauty by having the flowers of His love open up and blossom before us as we kneel before Him in loving awe and wonder. |
