See, the LORD rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Drama! Excitement! Power unknown to a normal human being! No, the opening words are not for a movie. No, the opening words are not for a TV program. The opening words are about the outpouring of God's love into the heart of every person. We only receive a sample of God's love in the here and now. We receive the full measure of His love later when we see Jesus. As human beings, we have insatiable hungers. We hunger for attention. We hunger for drama. We hunger for power. We hunger for wealth. We hunger for excitement. We want to see the sensational played out before us. In your life, the most dramatic, awe-inspiring, and exciting moment
is not when you are shocked by events of your life or by events of the world.
The most dramatic and awe-inspiring moment of your life will be when you see
Jesus face to face. If you look in all the wrong places for God, you will not
find Him. However, Christ came to earth and went to the Cross so you could find
