About God's love during times of temptation…

Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (NIV)

God's love empowers us to do right. Temptation tries to weaken us to do wrong. God's love shows us the way. Temptation blinds us. God's love brings us to the Light. Temptation takes us into the darkness. God's love sends us upward. Temptation pulls us downward. God's love brings hope. Temptation brings despair. God's love heals. Temptation wounds. God's love enables. Temptation disables. God's love brings together. Temptation separates. God's love is from above. Temptation is from below. When temptation appears, love seems to melt and fade away unless we demand love remain. Even when temptation comes and we demand love remain, temptation may remain and not go away. God's love brings eternal life to our soul. Temptation attempts to kill our soul. Although temptation may try to wound our soul, love heals us if we so will and demand love bind and heal us.
