A Daily Devotional About
God’s power waves saying good-bye… Jude
When we do not do God’s will, sometimes He waves good-bye. However, when God waves good-bye, He does not wave good-bye to us personally. In addition, He does not desert us. What God waves good-bye to may be what we want, because what we want may not be what He wants. When God waves good-bye, He wants us to wave good-bye to what we want in favor of what He wants. When God waves good-bye, He wants us to discard, throw away, or turn away from what we think is important in favor of what He thinks is important. We have many things we consider important. Some of the things we consider important are sheer folly, like sports. No matter how much people love sports and no matter how many people love sports, to God, sports can be sheer folly. In some cases, (not good news for me), He may want us to wave good-bye to our favorite TV sports program in favor of doing what is more directly in His will and love. The important thing is, when God waves good-bye, you always know and you always know for certain without any doubts or misgivings. |
