A Daily Devotional About goodness and love… Psalms 23:6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (NIV) Sometimes the scripture seems to say one thing and real life says another. When we have people on our prayer list who will pass away because of physical reasons rather than God calling them home, we certainly have to wonder about goodness and love following them home. But let us not jump to conclusions. Let us ask the person who is only a few days away from seeing our Lord about their life. Let us ask this person if goodness and love have followed them. If they have loved the Lord with all their heart, their answer will surely be "Yes". For God gives those who love Him special eyes. These special eyes can see past the darkness and suffering of this life. These special eyes surely do see, feel, and experience the goodness and love of God. |
