A Daily Devotional About growing in a time of stagnation.. Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. (NIV) We all have times in our life when we cannot make progress. We have times when we are stagnate or stuck in a rut. We have times when we are in a place we do not want to be and we cannot get out of that place. In a stagnating kind of circumstance, where we cannot move forward, Christ becomes an incredible power source. When we cannot move forward we must see the reality Christ is with us at all times. In the times of our life when we are stagnating, we are to ask Christ for help in doing His will. If you cannot move forward, ask Christ to help you find the power to be patient, wise, and a sponge to soak up every detail of His wisdom in your time of stagnation. Pray for progress to be made in your life. During your time of stagnation, ask Christ to grow you in ways now unknown to you. Ask Christ to use your stagnation time as a teaching time to teach you more about Him and more about His specific will for your life. When you humble yourself before God in this way, you throw off your selfishness. Christ will then bless you and give you the power to move forward. As difficult as a time of stagnation can be, a time of stagnation can lead to God's glory when you are willing to glorify God regardless of the circumstance. |
