A Daily Devotional About helping the weak… Romans 15:1 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. (NIV) If you told the truth, you would say you are weak. Yet even in your weakness, you can be strong. Other people who are weak need your strength. You can help others who are weak even when you are weak. In the ways of the world, when you are weak you are supposed to be deserving of "getting something" because you are weak. In the ways of the world, when you are without, you are supposed to be receiving. However, in the kingdom of God, when you give out of your need and poverty, what you give comes back to you many times over in spiritual dimensions. In the kingdom of God, when you are weak and burdened down, your weakness is turned to strength when you help someone else. In your every weakness, there is strength if you use your weakness to reach out to help others who are weak. This amazing truth about love should be a constant encouragement to help us help others. |
