A Daily Devotional About the ignorance of ignoring wisdom… 2 Chronicles 9:23 All the kings of the
earth sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.
(NIV) All of us who are normal human beings make mistakes. We make mistakes because we do not care, because we are ignorant, because we are unaware, or we make mistakes for a myriad of other reasons. One of the primary reasons we make mistakes is because we ignore God's wisdom. There are innumerable instances in our life when we could make progress. However, because we ignore the wisdom of God, we do not forge ahead. When we could take action, because we ignore the wisdom of God, we do nothing. When we ignore the wisdom of God, we sometimes do the wrong thing when we could have done the right thing. We are not very smart when we ignore the wisdom of God. When we ignore the wisdom of God, we let life take charge of us instead of our taking charge of life. We let opportunities slip away because we did not access and use God's wisdom. Fortunately for us, we do not need to seek out a King Solomon to gain wisdom. We already have Solomon's word written for us. We also have the wisdom of God and Christ written out for us in His holy word. |
