A Daily Devotional About inner purity and holiness… 1 Thessalonians 4:7 For God did not call
you to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8Therefore, he who rejects this
instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit. (NIV) Your desire in life should
be to live a pure, holy and devout life. You should desire to be holy and devout
before your God. Be holy and devout, for if you lose the desire to be holy and
devout, you lose your contact with God. Reject a life full of greed. Instead of
living a life full of greed, embrace a life full of giving out of your wants and
needs. Reject living a life full of ego. Instead of living a life full of ego,
live out God's way of purity and holiness. Live to do His will and not your own.
Live your life as if God is guiding and directing you…for He is. Turn your
heart to Christ and follow Him. When you listen in purity and holiness to the
voice of God, you put others before yourself, you draw closer to God, and He
draws closer to you. In purity and holiness, live free of selfish pride. Instead
of taking pride in what you do, take moments to reflect upon what God has done
for you. In reflecting upon what God has done for you, live in the purity and
holiness of thanksgiving. |
