A Daily Devotional Look and see His little ones so afraid.. John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the
branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart
from me you can do nothing. (NIV) You pass them on the
street. You work with them, you go to school with them, you play with them, and
you talk with them on the phone. The nursing homes are full of them. The
hospitals admit them and dismiss them. All those eyes! All those eyes full of
fear. All those eyes full of helplessness and anxiety. In a world of ego and
greed, there are millions of persons who do not have such braggadocio. Your
world is full of those who cannot fend for themselves. There are those who must
battle pain and suffering in silence. The little ones so afraid�need you.
There are persons who want to climb up to the next level but they are
afraid'so they do not try. The little ones so afraid need you. They are blind,
deaf, mute, and disabled. They live in isolation. They need you. All those eyes
need you. Today, tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, look into the eyes of
Christ's little ones so afraid. Do you see them? Do you see their fear of
failure? See their fear of embarrassment? See their fear of making a mistake?
See their fear of loneliness? See their fear of abandonment? If you look and you
see, you can also do. When you look and see Christ's little ones so afraid, then
you can reach out and soothe their fear. You can encourage them, embolden them,
and give them comfort. In Christ's name and for His kingdom you can reach out
and touch what is behind those eyes of His little ones so afraid. |
