A Daily Devotional About
living in Christ when you are sad… John 15:4 Remain in me, and I will
remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine.
Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. (NIV) Sadness
and grief come to us but we need not be in sadness and grief by ourselves. Do
not carry any part of your burdens without Him. In Jesus, you have a friend who
wants to pull your grief and sadness away from you. In Jesus, you can take every
hurt to Him. In Jesus, you have a live and real person in whom you can live. In
Jesus, you have a live and real person who understands and shares your sadness.
Every second, 24/7/365, live in the cleft of His love. In Jesus, you can find
shelter and warmth. In Jesus, you can live and find comfort. In Jesus, you can
live and find renewal. In Jesus, you can live and find hope. In our physical
world, we can choose where we live. We can live in various places. We can move
about. In our spirit, we can also choose where our soul lives. We can either let
our soul live only in our present physical world, or we can send our soul into the
waiting arms of our Savior. When sadness comes to you, send your soul to the
waiting arms of our Savior and remain with Him because He will always remain
with you. For the rest of your days, say to Him, “I live in thee.” |
