A Daily Devotional About looking for the enduring city… Hebrews 13:14 For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. (NIV) We are seeking beings. We seek enduring happiness. We seek enduring joy. We seek enduring fulfillment. We seek an enduring end to our problems. We seek an enduring end to our sicknesses and pain. We seek eternal youth. We need not seek what is eternal because what is eternal has been found and has been known. In our life, our enduring city in heaven has been made ready for each of us. There is plenty of room in our enduring city. There are acres of land if we want acres of land or there is just a little garden if we want just a little garden. All of us have a great future, regardless of what the present may hold for us on earth. All of us have a great future where we will live in our own enduring city in heaven forever. |
