A Daily Devotional About the Lord's lost sheep: Jeremiah 50:6 "My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray and caused them to roam on the mountains. They wandered over mountain and hill and forgot their own resting place." (NIV) How the owner of the sheep grieves for the lost sheep! How God and Christ grieve over those of us who become lost to sin and darkness! Love demands all of us be in the sheepfold of Christ, for Christ loves us so. Love demands we always follow the Great Shepherd. When we are lost, we are frightened, angry, and often bitter over our plight. However, when we are found, we are secure, happy, and we count each day as a blessing to be His child. When we are found, we are in the Great Shepherds sheepfold. He beseeches us to plead with all the others around us to listen to the loving voice of our Christ. Christ asks us to be His witnesses to the world and to tell the world how much He loves them and cares for them. |
