About losing your life issues in Christ's compassion..

Matthew 10:39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (NIV)

Matthew 9:36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. (NIV)

We all hurt. We all need understanding in our pain. We all have times when no one seems to understand and no one comes to help us. However, Jesus is not like any other person we have ever known. Jesus has unlimited understanding and unlimited patience. Jesus has the ability to walk and talk with you when you hurt. Jesus wants you to give Him all of your life, especially the pain part. When you feel down and depressed, Jesus is there with you to help you pick yourself up. Jesus is there with you because He feels down with you and He understands what you need. When you are frightened and anxious, Jesus understands because He has been frightened and anxious. When you suffer, Jesus understands because He has suffered. The compassion of Jesus is not compassion like the world gives. The compassion of Jesus is an all-encompassing, totally surrounding, fully immersing kind of compassion He gives to change you and make all things new.
