About
love and charity… 1
Corinthians 13:3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to
the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. (NIV) Charity
of the pocketbook is the pride of many persons. Persons in poverty often give
freely of what little they have. Generosity abounds in many lives. However, too
often, people give to other people hoping for some kind of reward from the
giving. When you give without love, there is no substance to the gift. Giving a
gift without giving love produces nothing. Love has a way of coming back to you
if you do not expect love in return. Love has a way of multiplying itself in
mysterious ways. Love overflows and fills you up as you give love away. When you
give a gift in love, the gift becomes larger than you the giver. When you give
a gift wrapped in love, the love wrapping calls down the angels from heaven
singing the praises of your Savior. |
