A Daily Devotional About man’s will and God’s will… Matthew 8:1 When he came down from the
mountainside, large crowds followed him. 2 A man with leprosy came and knelt
before him and said, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me
clean." 3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am
willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cured of his
leprosy. (NIV) You may not have leprosy but you may be severely limited in any number of ways. You may kneel before Christ but He may not have touched you in a physical healing way. Jesus is willing to give you His healing touch, just as much He was willing for this leper two thousand years ago to be healed. However, the will of God may go in a different direction for you. The will of God for you may for all persons in your life will to be touched by His love and grace…without your being healed. God’s will can go in a different direction and be expressed quite differently for each person. The man with leprosy was healed so his healing would be written about and read about for two thousand years or more. As much as we want and need a physical healing, the healing of our soul is of far greater in importance. Satan delivers the blows against each of us, but the Master’s healing hand restores our soul. Oh how great to have a restored soul! Oh how much joy you can have even in your suffering, knowing He loves you! What a wonderful will He has tugging upon your life and restoring your soul. |
