A Daily Devotional About the outcome of a heart of peace… Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith… Each of us can have the peace of God if we turn our heart toward the direction of peace. If we seek peace within our heart, the fruit of our seeking will be His peace within us. We do not produce peace. Peace is from the Holy Spirit. We can make incredible attempts to produce peace. We can have conferences, we can sign treaties, we can meditate, and we can worship. We can go to extreme human lengths to have peace. However, we cannot make peace. Peace can only be brought about by the Spirit. Only by turning away from our sin, accepting Christ as our Savior, and surrendering to the Spirit of the Living God can we find peace. With Christ in your heart, you can have peace. Without Christ in your heart, there is only turmoil, conflict, and inner and/or outer war. The presence of Christ in us can bring us peace. The presence of Christ in us gives us His assurance things will be alright even in the face of life's greatest adversities. |
