A Daily Devotional About
the place of God's glory: Psalm 26:8 I love the house where you
live, O Lord, the place where your glory dwells. (NIV) Our love for God, and similarly David's love for God, is seen in David's love for the temple. The house where the Lord lives is our heart. Although we may not always be aware of the glory, the glory of the Lord lives within us. Surely many people will then want to know why there are times we do not experience His glory within us. Where, indeed, is the glory of God when many parts of our life are under attack and we have lost our way? In finding and constantly living in the glory of the Lord we must remember finding and living in the glory of God is not a matter of His being near us. Finding and living in the glory of God is a matter of our being near Him. Experiencing the glory of God is a matter of where you place your heart. Some people place their heart in houses, lands, material things, money, and sinful desires. Eventually these people find they have no glory, they have no hope, they have no love for God, and they have no love from God in their life. In contrast, the substance of your life is determined by where you put your heart. To find the glory of God put your heart in His glory within you. |
