A Daily Devotional About praying for your nation… 2 Chronicles 7:13 "When I shut up the
heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send
a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will
humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their
land. (NIV) Even when you see people around you falling into darkness and sin, you always have a choice about what you do. We will all stand before God and have all things revealed to us. We are all sinners and have no hope to live forever in our earthly bodies. The nations of the world continue to follow a sinful path. However, your place in the world can change your world. Your little humble place in the world can change your world. One humble person can change the world because God hears your prayers. The Lord does act upon the prayers you pray. When individuals begin to turn their back on God, God obliges them, for they do not want Him. When a nation of people turns away from God, God obliges the nation because they have rejected Him. Few of us believe we have the kind of power to move or change a nation. However, God is a supernatural power. All of us have the power to pray. In every possible way, God hears your prayers and takes action. Because God hears your prayers and acts upon your prayers, you have the power to change the heart of a nation through the power of prayer. |
