A Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About pretending circumstances are not as bad as they seem… Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? (NIV) Reality can sometimes sting us. When we get hurt by whatever dark forces are upon us, we must not pretend things are not as bad as they are. To pretend is a form of telling a lie. When we stop pretending and start dealing with the truth, then the truth will set us free. We are free when we live in truth and take action to fix bad circumstances. When we pretend bad circumstances are not as bad as they are, we take away our freedom to fix problems and issues needing our attention. We cannot lie to ourselves and expect a good outcome. We must not lie to ourselves and run away from problems or circumstances. What we often miss is the power of the truth. What we can all find in Christ is a being of infinite love, compassion, and power. When we face the truth, no matter what the truth may be, we will always find Christ is for us and not against us. |
