A Daily Devotional About how to prosper in the days ahead… 1 Thessalonians 1:3 We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. You have known people who have endured a lot of pain, suffering, and hardship. You might have even wondered how they do endure such hardship. How do people who go through great difficulties endure or survive these experiences? How do some people not only endure but also prosper? People survive and even prosper in times of pain, suffering, and hardship because they have hope. Hope gives us a fuel for living. This fuel keeps us going when we are running on empty and we are besieged from every side. You can find hope in many places. You can find hope in your career, your education, your technology, and in other people. However, all these aspects of life can fail. You can lose your job or career because of technological change. Your education can become outdated. Your technology can quit working. People in your life can disappoint you. However, when we put our faith in Christ, we have a fuel burning brightly within us. We have a Light giving us eternal vision. With Christ, we can endure all things, at any time, because His love fills us to overflowing. |
