About the real "stuff" of life…

1 Peter 1:4 …an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. (NIV)

All of us have a heavenly treasure. Someday, perhaps someday soon, we will be able to see our heavenly treasure. Our heavenly treasure is not like our earthly stuff. We love our earthly material things. To preserve our earthly things we can go to great lengths to keep our earthly things in perfect storage conditions. We value art treasures, antiques, rare coins, jewelry, personal "stuff" unending, and family heir looms. However, none of our earthly treasures can even begin to compare to our treasures in heaven. Our real heavenly treasures of life last forever and never need maintenance or storage. Although we cannot often physically see our real treasures of life, we know we have these treasures because Christ puts a knowledge and wisdom into our heart to know Him and to know about Him. What a great day we will have when we will at last see all our great treasures of heaven…all our great treasures with our personal name on every item…knowing full well we will enjoy our treasures into time everlasting.
