About recommitting our life to Christ…
1 Peter 4:19 So then, those who suffer
according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and
continue to do good. (NIV)
If we are honest, we will
admit the world attracts us. If we are honest, we will admit the world tempts
us. Without our knowledge or realization, darkness springs upon us and we
falter. If we are honest, we hear the dark and secular voices of the world
calling to us. However, Christ also calls us and we must listen to Him. Our
faith is smaller than a mustard seed. Because our faith is so small, Christ
calls us to recommit our life to Him.
Christ knows your battles. Christ knows
your trials in standing up to the attractions of the world. Christ knows you
fall down and make mistakes. When you recommit your life to Him, you signify you
hear Him tenderly calling you by remaining with Him. When you recommit your life
to Christ, you have heard Him tenderly calling you to confront issues you cannot
change on your own.
