A Daily Devotional About the result of praising God… Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. In the spiritual soup in which we live, the soup made up of God’s glory and Satan’s inflicted pain, we also find all the physical, psychological, emotional, and mental forces wanting us to bend or break. How is God glorified when you are in soup so thick sometimes you cannot see your hand in front of your face? How is God praised or glorified when you are caught between two walls closing in on you with no way to escape? How is God praised or glorified when you lose people? God is praised or glorified in these dark times when you stay close to Him, when you talk to Him, and walk with Him. God is praised when you go to Him or Christ with your sufferings. We do not praise God to make God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, or the Holy Spirit bigger or puffed up. We praise God because we love Him and we love His Son. The result of our expressing this love is you are lifted up to a higher spiritual plane and others in your world are also in turn lifted up. |
