About seeing the power of God…

Jeremiah 32:37 I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety. 38 They will be my people, and I will be their God. 39 I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them. 40 I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. 41 I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul. When we think about the power of God we often think about the parting of the Red Sea or the power of rain flooding the earth after Noah built the ark. As we look at our world, power is everywhere. Power keeps our heart pumping and our lungs inhaling and exhaling. Power keeps our modern appliances operating and our car running. The energy we call life is power. Love is power. Forgiveness is power. Power is everywhere. When we see the kinds of power around us we can begin to appreciate the infinite and vast nature of God. God is the power of love expressed in infinite ways. When we begin to see power we can begin to discern good power from evil power. When we begin to see power we can see good and evil working. When we think about the power of God, we must always think about His power pouring down into the tomb where Jesus was placed. God's power of love poured into Jesus while Jesus was in the tomb. This same power is the power touching you every hour if you are willing to be touched.
