A Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About seeking love from people incapable of loving back: 1 Thessalonians 1:3 We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV) Many people are not capable of loving others. Many people are not capable of loving you or loving you back if you love them. Tragic as this kind of circumstance might be, there is hope. Our hope for love in our life is hope realized when we find Christ. When Christ is alive within us, we are fully immersed in His love. Certainly, even with an alive relationship with Christ, we can still feel lonely for the love of others. However, when we focus on seeking love from God, we find He never disappoints us. When people are incapable of loving us, we must be honest and admit certain people in our life are like they are. Because of many kinds of issues in their life, some people are incapable of loving us. Because some people are incapable of loving us, we must continually go to Christ in prayer and meditation. Christ may never change the people in your life, but Christ can change you. When Christ changes you, He makes you strong enough to love others even when they are not able to love you back. |
