A Daily Devotional About showing God's humor… Exodus 7:8 The LORD said to Moses and
Aaron, 9 "When Pharaoh says to you, `Perform a miracle,' then say to Aaron,
`Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,' and it will become a
snake." Snake eat snake. God is not thought of as a funny guy. God is commonly thought of as being a person of anger and wrath as well as a person of love. Indeed, there are aspects of God's personality we know are related to anger and wrath. However, God is a complex being. Part of His complexity is His humor. God made us in His own image. We are copies of Him. When God created us in His likeness, He left His humor part in us. Since I am a man, I can appreciate The Three Stooges. The Stooges, according to my wife, are totally a guy thing. No, God did not create us to be Stooges, but He did create three people and later a fourth, who acted the parts of Moe, Larry, and Curly to entertain us, make us laugh, and help us through the tough times of life. When you see others in need, remember God created laughter, and indeed, "Laughter is the best medicine." Life would be terrible if there was no laughter. When you want to help others, bring laughter. When you bring laughter, you bring part of God into their life. |
