A Daily Devotional About sowing seeds… Gal. 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. (NIV) Have you ever planted a garden? If you have, you probably put tags at the end of the rows, or at least made a mental note of which vegetables went in which rows. If you plant a row of lettuce, you will not get beans. If you plant beans, you will not get lettuce. The same rules apply with God and with our life. Sometimes people think they can fool God, or at least God looks the other way when they do something they should not do. People mistakenly believe there are thoughts and behaviors God either does not see or thoughts and behaviors God overlooks. Unfortunately, these people are wrong. What we plant in our heart and in the hearts of others sprouts and comes to fruition. When you think about God, think about how much He loves you and cares for you. Meditate every day on how wonderful God is. The seeds you plant in your heart will begin to grow. When you interact with others, bring the Light of His Love into their heart. Remember how everything you give away, eventually sprouts, grows, and comes back to you. |
