A Daily Devotional About standing tall and
upright in good times… Malachi 2: 5 "My
covenant was with him, a covenant of life and peace, and I gave them to him;
this called for reverence and he revered me and stood in awe of my name. 6 True
instruction was in his mouth and nothing false was found on his lips. He walked
with me in peace and uprightness, and turned many from sin. (NIV) The verse is about Levi. This verse should be about each of us when we celebrate victory. When we celebrate victory, we are not to celebrate in drunkenness and debauchery. When we celebrate victory, we are to look up to God to give Him praise for His great blessings in our life. When good times roll in our life, few as good times can sometimes be, we too often forget all good things come from God. When the good times roll in our life, we are not to pat ourselves on the back and tell ourselves or others how good we are. When the good times roll in life, we are to rejoice, praise God for His blessings, and kneel at the foot of His Cross in humility. Satan wants the good times in your life to be times of sliding away from God by producing in you the desire to do the wrong thing in pride and arrogance. God wants the good times in your life to be times when your heart soars upward because you always want to do the right thing in humility, grace, and in His love. |
